While I was away this past weekend, a friend past away, Carol Fleming Aljroush. I never met her in person, but she was still a great friend who talked to me via email and her blog, American Bedu. I found the blog while researching for my novel. We communicated via email, what a wonderful woman who you could just feel the love she had for life.
Carol experienced the love of a lifetime when she met and married Saudi husband, Abdullah. He stood by her side while she battled breast cancer only to be taken by a different form of cancer too soon. I know she missed him greatly. She continued to battle the disease and was always positive and uplifted many a spirit with her love for life. To continue her positive attitude for life I am thinking that even though we will miss her, she is united with her lover again for all eternity.
Whether you believe in God or not, it helps to think that once death separates us, we can be united again with everyone we love for all eternity. Humans have a soul or spirit. I have no doubt of that; it is what makes us different from animals. That spirit will live on into eternity.
Not everyone feels they have a great love of their life. Some of us do. Death is the only thing that will ever separate us from that great love. We may have more than one great love in this life; it is nice to know that it is possible to find another love almost as good as the first. Some do, some don’t. But at least we know we will be reunited in the afterlife and we can have an eternal love for the rest of our lives.
God bless you both, Carol and Abdullah, now you will live Happily Ever After.
